A Love That Grows Stronger

(This I know happens to me when I dwell on things and know I am "pushing" my writing and trying too hard, then any quality goes downhill, but I learn from each and every one. It's difficult for me to write daily like so so many others!!) A Love that Grows Stronger Never thought we would make it Never thought this far our love is rare like a shooting star It was mid-December brisk cold was in the air yet I didn't have a care tossed a hail mary and said a prayer Felt something different that night shyness, nervous but all was alright felt like you were the one felt like I had won Few days later and now New Years Eve my heart pounding all along my sleeve never felt like this before this is a woman I adore She wasn't close, lived far away so I visited and decided to stay our love grew fonder by the day want to be with her until old and gray Quarter of a century later our love couldn't be greater still growing, so many years later Couldn't live without you, never our love meant to last forever a ring and a vow made you mine I'll love you til the end of time

James, your passionate poem, which feels more like song, it such a rhythmic outpouring of tender emotions. Beautifully done. Please don’t worry about writing/posting everyday. You and your muse must create at your own pace. I certainly learned that myself as I am not a prolific poet and prefer to take my time with each and every piece as my muse stirs my heart and imagination. Your loving heart shines in this brilliant gem. Welcome to the Soup. Robert is a great poet and wonderful friend to you and me. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

When poetry is written this true, this heartfelt it has a rare, unique and greater quality from its foundation. One can never go wrong writing such deep and sincere inner thoughts, with such depth of love, my friend.. A fav-- and a true gem too.

Believe it or not, I never let my wife read the things I write about, was always too shy and nervous about sharing, but much easier online! Just learning and all very simple right now, and not sure how much I'll grow. Thank you for such a nice comment! -James
