Staring out into nothing Wondering where did I go wrong Could I have loved him better Could I have prevented this pain I feel The answer is and always will be NO I couldn't have given him anymore of me He already had my all I couldn't have prevented this pain It was him from the start This runs deep in him Someone broke his heart Now its every other girls fault I do wish him well Nothing but the best Its time to move on with my life Need to get through all this mess The tear drops stain my pillow The pain stains my heart Time heals all wounds This is just the hardest part Trying to put it all behind me But behind me it won't go He's still in my heart Inside my heart and my soul I wish he could feel this The pain I'm living in But it takes a heart to feel compassion Just so happens a heart is what he's lacking If there is a heart in there Its hidden deep within Somewhere hidden in the pain of his own past Hiding behind a ghost A ghost of a love that didn't last
