A Love Strange
you don’t wish me on my birthday -
you don’t compliment my achievements -
you don’t hide my weaknesses or
… withhold public criticism
yet you
- gaze lovingly at me
- dedicate love songs to me
- resent others’ interest in me
I am bemused.
