A Love of My Own

Sitting back on the porch in the cool of the day,
pondering on the years that have gone away.
Wondering will I ever see, will I ever know,
what it's like to have a love to call my own.
The tears began to fall and my heart began to ache,
on the thought I have left it too late.
I should have known as I thought these things,
there was someone listening in.
There you were wiping my tears away,
tucking me in, under your wing.
Revealing the truth and not the lie my thoughts have contrived.
No greater love could have I, than one who was, who is and forever
will be mine.
A lover of my soul and not the flesh,
Abba Father thank you for I am truly blessed.
