A love of mine, I'll leave behind
'In losing thee, I keep thee within my soul'
Thy voice echoes in my mind,
Thy face abides in my eyes;
I see no world apart from thee,
A love of mine, I'll leave behind -
A star I gaze shall fade with time.
I would not leave thee,
Nor would I lose thee.
Each memory cuts me deep,
But the ember of love'll keep,
Sparkling bright within, nor die.
The night shall pass, I'll let thee go,
But the safe place of mine shan't die -
For power to hold thee's not mine hand;
But thou'll shalt dwell within mine heart.
Farewell my heart - don't lose thy part,
For love once known - no time can part.
