A Love Like No Other

There are so many love stories to tell,
Like love at first sight, where boy meets girl and they just both fell,
Or maybe about long friendships that ended so much sweeter,
Because the boy and girl ended up with each other.

But what can we say of our love story,
That created this “you and me”?
Was ours some fantasy?
Like "Alice in Wonderland" with a talking bunny?

I guess our love is more like a pair of slippers,
Where one cannot be useful without the other,
Just by being in each other’s company,
We always had fun and everything else is happy.

We made sure that each day of our lives is sunny,
Even if outside our window the days are just stormy.
On such days we snuggle together and watch Star Movies on TV,
Complaining later on and change the channel to either CNN, Fox or BBC.

We wake up each morning with smiles in our faces,
And ends the night with a kiss and then turn our backs to each other.
Am I pissed at that way you treat me at night?
Of course, not! Because that’s the only way I can hold your butt.

Our love has stood all these years,
Loving each other, with nothing to fear.
We have our brief days of melancholy but long days of funny,
And that completes the days of our lives with no complexity.

I love you, honey
For all the unforgettable joys in life you gave me.
No more words to describe our love further,
Because I found that love like no other.
