A Lot
Hang me up like your clothes in the closet
Rinse away the regret and happy your upset
Happy your upset
Happy your upset
Life gets hard a lot
It wraps a knot…a knot…
Around our necks sometimes
It makes the clock chime and I be up making up silly ol rhymes
High up in the clouds, clouds, clouds
Overwhelmed by fiery, icy shrouds
Life gets hard a lot
Caught in love’s embrace with the weak strength I got
Paint a halo around my head
Like the auras I see in dread
Faint all the time you say to me so freely
I was born to be a singer so true, baby
The devil is on my tongue this time
But the angel is on my lips of prime
I’m rocking the sailor’s boat…glutting like a goat
I’m like the icecream in the yummy root beer float
You can taste me when I’m melting in your mouth of mesmerizing mwavelence (waves of marvelousness) and, up in here, I’m a burning bridge
Every single time you get me on the dance floor, I want to sing my heart out to set my spirits and anxieties free from bondage
It’s okay…
Life gets tremendously hard…
But, hey —
I’m a survivor and a brave bard
Happy your upset
Happy your upset
Wipe off the sweat from your brow
Live in the now, live in the now
Anyhow, love with no regret
Live life without any regret
