A Lost Vagabond Heart
Oh Rogue, you travel to distant shores
lost in dreams of lasting sorrow.
What haunting songs must drive you so,
as step by step, you carry on.
The grime upon your outcast clothes
tells a tale of loathsome journey.
Each dirty stain and dust filled thread
like robes of gold embrace your life.
No sullen looks or downcast eyes,
your head held high, you show your pride.
Yet, deep inside, you feel the pain
of each lonely mile you travel.
Rest your weary head upon the sand
and close your tear filled eyes.
Let the vagabond in your heart
ramble toward a pensive new dawn.
