A Lost Sunrise
You're lost and I don't know where to find you,
You glimmer like jewels dangling in my memory,
That was when you were beautiful,
I saw it in the love rippling in your eyes,
You were the sunrise warming my skin,
Your lips danced across my ridges,
Carrying secrets across my mountains,
I believed you.
You made me beautiful and I glowed,
The pale moon sighing in relief,
Falling softly into the caress of your arms,
In those moments you became my home,
I longed for you every moment I was away,
You made me stronger with your love,
I believed in you.
Now you are the shadow,
You chase the light from my valleys,
You extinguish the stars from my eyes,
You are the reflection on the waters surface,
And I am the stone.
My heart aches to pull you close,
But like all shadows - you are cold,
I long for the sunrise,
When I can believe in you again,
I am faced with an imposter -
You are lost, I search for you.
