A Lost Smile

I remember the happy days.
Always smiling and laughing.
Head in the clouds lost in dreams.
Then everything changed so fast.

Lost the ones I loved so much.
Spent many nights crying.
Wrapped up in dark thoughts.
Listened to the nagging voices.

Nothings even good enough.
None is ever happy either.
The complaints never stop.
The nights are even colder.

The saddness grips my heart tight.
Can't think can't sleep can't breathe.
Feeling more and more lost.
In so deep there's no way out.

I remember when I use to smile.
Smiles that are now lost memories.

It takes diving to the depths of despair to realise how shallow it is! Aloha! Rico
