A Lost Dream

A lost dream
BY HEROLD OSMOND OWOSEB

Magnificent, so diligent
Trapped in a conspiracy filled with catastrophe
Magical, so identical
Caught up in a traumatic tragedy
Momentarily she is on to me like a cheetah on a hunt
I do not know where to turn; her image is everywhere
Even engraved on my heart with a frame
What a mess!!
She has stolen my heart but my soul she hasn’t touched
Passing around I try to think but my mind is blank
Just the unforgettable image of a blonde roaming my brain
It’s the end of the line; the movie is about to end
And I think she will only be trapped in the minds of the audience
What a tragedy, I have lost my dream forever

                                                                                                  13 February 2010
