A Look At It All...

the archers and cupid put down their bow
and Peter Pan swore he wouldn’t grow
as Buddha’s lost temper started to show
because you had dreams that you wouldn’t peruse
as the free winds of Neverland cease to blow

the praying mantis faith has gone along
with the difference between right and wrong
even the birds have stopped their song
because theirs not much left to do
when everyone feels like they don’t belong

chariots of fire are riding over the land
and crashing waves are throwing the sand
everyone thinks that they are making a stand
as they stand in the wrong place without a clue
because were all knowing but don’t understand

love letters are sent without love that’s real
and artists are loosing their touch and their feel
we're all working so hard to try and conceal
when the prophets say words that aren’t true
and so many more things that I cant reveal

pull up the anchors from the mouth of Poseidon
climb out from the cave in which you hide in
get off the high horse on which you’re ridin’
and come down to the people who look up to you
and give your thin horizons the chance to widen

no one who will be left here wants to see
of what will come and what will be
of me and you and you and me
someone has to figure out what we have to do
as we all just want to live free
