A Long Life Has No Elegy

A long life has no elegy

Tears flood my eyes but they fail to flow
We counted a full life and pain is no more
What words can tears script on my face
Crying for myself is all that makes sense
If every day of our lives is God-made
Then God takes his favorites very late
Grandma found jokes under the weight of a long life
Talking about God was her only path to our minds
Saying goodbye will never ever be enough

Sorry for your loss. Grandma sounds like a wise soul. I hope you continue to follow that path. Blessings Rick.
