A Lonely Man's Prayer
Dear God, please help me to love?
Falling in love has always
been easy,
But I’ve been hurt so many times
that I can’t trust (her/or myself).
Perhaps in time I’ll pick-up
the shattered pieces and mend them
With your help, Lord. I trust it will come.
Difficult is the path of the broken hearted,
And in life, I’ve only found true happiness
in you, Lord.
I pray that my feelings for the one
I love doesn’t lead to more heartache.
But God, I know that I’ll always have
a friend in you.
Come what will, keep me in your grace.
