A Lone Mother's Love
A single mother’s love is strong and true,
She sacrifices all for her child’s life anew.
Her days are long, her nights are short,
Yet her heart is full, she is never out of sorts.
She wakes up early, to pack lunches to go,
Ace the day ahead, no time for any woe.
She dresses her child, combs hair neat,
Ensures everything is set at their feet.
She goes to work, with tired eyes and feet,
She gives her best, never accept defeat.
She works hard, for her child’s life,
To provide necessities, stop any strife.
She rushes home, to cook dinner in time,
To make sure her child’s hunger starts to decline.
She listens and talks about their day,
Hugging and kissing to say everything’s okay.
She reads bedtime stories, songs she sings,
Tucks her child into bed, gives kisses on their wings.
She prays for them, for their dreams to come true,
For health, happiness, love and friendships anew.
She sacrifices her own needs, for her child’s sake,
No hobbies to pursue, no vacations to take.
Her time and life revolve around her child,
Her love and devotion, forever undeniably mild.
Her sacrifices are felt, by one and all,
Who know and see how she stands tall,
Her love and sacrifice, never end,
Her motherhood’s a journey, never to bend.
So salute to all single moms out there,
Whose love and sacrifices, show they care,
You are appreciated, loved and revered,
Your love and efforts are truly endeared.
