A Lollipop Day

A Lollipop Day A swing stalls mid swings kicked dirt strewed a ground a swing seat goes empty a boy whacks away at clung dirt ~~lawn trails a dusty path, Blue jeans stand at attention further treatment closely probed necessitates a full body turn involved mother gives a once over ~~okay liberates eagerness, Parental engagement outlines a day unnoticed enterprises the mischief a fresh face glistens on chrome skewed mouth pose for finger rubs ~~teeth shine on car's trappings, Innocence mounts the vinyl backseat a carlock mercilessly rewrites gravity a body twists and a matchbox car rolls neath a rear window, movement felt ~~a father's voice sits a boy, A mother hearkened locks a seatbelt a town flies pauses, then flies again a mother leaves a father and the boy whose eyes are fascinated by spirals ~~a barber's pole swirls, A squirmish boy enticed to bestilled snip's squints a boy's mirrored face as scissors repeatedly being flexed by a talented barber precise styles ~~a mother's return smiles, A powdery roughhoused brushing thoroughly adds a soothing resolve they wait as a father has his turn then they leave with shorter hair ~~gust cools heads with ease, A mother pays as a family leaves a couple of stops, a few stores later he now finds himself seated on a swing a mother directly relieves a barber's gift ~~back-kick swing lifts, lollipop licks. 2020 August 20
