A Little Wren Sang Out
Perched upon a leafless branch a little Wren sang out
Strange I thought to wish to sing in such a barren tree,
Yet his song was full of happiness, of that I had no doubt
For in his sweet sweet warblings I heard felicity,
Oh such a heartfelt song echoed through the air
Envious was I of him in his carefree reverie
What reason he for such joy, to sing without a care
I wished he could wrap some up, and send it down to me.
