A Little More

I shaved my head and wore a robe the mountain pass I found at last grew thin alas but fat I got on nature's lot her sounds were not my thoughtless strobe though I was dead to the mountain's mass in me she saw I knew not what my feet grew raw I found my past a timely flaw the mountain pass my life aghast and all was for a little more though I was dead I shaved my head

I appreciate the depth of your words, Clive. The narrator sounds distraught, seeing hope via the mountain pass (perhaps to be a monk?) I especially liked these words: I found my past a timely flaw the mountain pass my life aghast Each of your poems is powerfully deep and intriguing. Well done, sir

This is a great poem. I hear what you are saying and reading deep into your words I feel those emotions too. I’m a retired RMN but I don’t think it matters whether you have insight or not into the daily struggles of mental illness to understand your subject matter here. It’s so well written. Cheers - Gary
