A Little Kindness Never Hurts
A Little Kindness Never Hurts
Her bad reputation was talk of our small town
she'd rush out to get mail in her flimsy nightgown
rumors spread about her lovers in her large bed
and how one is not enough, she needs four instead
yet I spoke to her oft at the grocery store
she seemed so kind, her free spirit about to soar.
From just one kind act, a great romance was gifted
And such was passionate love, that so uplifted
She wrecked her car, I went over to help her out
way back then, that was what good neighbors were about
tho' injured I saw her soft, graceful composure
after that, our friendship became so much closer
she asked, if I knew about her reputation
and was lone white knight one of my close relations.
From just one kind act, a great romance was gifted
And such was passionate love, that so uplifted
She graciously asked, would I accept any pay
I replied, No ma'am I just wasn't raised that way
with that declaration, I then walked away
seemed proper not her warm welcome to overstay
sincere kindness seeks not a returning reward
one never knows when they need help if life gets hard.
From just one kind act, a great romance was gifted
And such was passionate love, that so uplifted
A raven-haired queen, her sex appeal off the charts
rare to have so very much, with such a huge heart
years flown by, I found myself in her gentle arms
a willing accomplice enchanted by her charms
and then gossipers would ask me, to kiss and tell
I gave my then standard answer, you go to hell.
From just one kind act, a great romance was gifted
And such was passionate love, that so uplifted
