Notes About The Poem

A Little Kindness Never Hurts

A little kindness never hurts...
     in fact, it helps to heal and mend;
          a salve that comforts and diverts
pain in a loved one or a friend.

I try to uplift those with needs...
     a little kindness never hurts;
          to take the time with words or deeds,
and watch how frown to smile converts.

My heartfelt gesture reasserts...
     soft loving touch on arm or hand.
          A little kindness never hurts
to help one know I understand.

My gifts of kindness, large or small...
     a homemade card, a meal, desserts,
          for just a while can please, enthrall.
A little kindness never hurts.
