A Little Girl Saved

You don't know what you have done Making my world come undone It's very hard to believe You came my way to retrieve Me from a life I couldn't stand With just one touch of your hand I was rescued from the pain I felt now and again My aching heart couldn't survive But you brought it back to life As I was taken instantly From hands that were hurting me To loving arms holding me tight Taking away a young girls fright Abused and left alone to die Never understanding why Parents would hurt someone so small Each day pain would make me fall Into a crying lump of sorrow Now my very next tomorrow Won't be hurtful anymore There's much loving now in store For a little girl to see How happy she can finally be New parents to love her through The nightmarish hell her life knew
