 A Chicago snowstorm at Christmas,
 was always my wish.
Red, shiny boots with warm, fluffy fur,
both in and out.
I lived in the rolling suburbs where a huge
snowball tasted delish!
Those flakes were from Heaven, not one
 of a doubt.

But our joy of all joys, buiding Mister Snoman,
our friend.
His, hat, eyes, mouth and gloves were surely
at the ready.
My sled loaded with shovels, we were happy to
build him and bend!
Noses running from the cold, who cares, there
he pourdly stood.in his glory, Mr. Snowman , our
dearest …Freddy!

We could barely sleep that charming, snowy
winter’s gleaming night.
Mommy served us hot chocolate before we
finally went to bed.
Our little girl’s innocent joyful heartstrings
sailed to the moonwith delight.
I recall dreaming of sleighbells, in my nightgown
soft, flannel nightgown of festive red .

Hi abdullah! Glad to hear from a fellow-Illinosian. Hope your winter wont be rough! I recall the blizzards, the icy roads are scary to driveo on. Good schools close in winter strms. I taught on Foster and Ashland. Great kids very internationnal and respectful. ))As a youngster, I loved the suburbs. I went to Springfield when I was HS Senior. Fun.)) I hopre we all have our childhoods filled with great memories…indeed. Hope thing are looking up for you .Tom. I was in hospita”.three years ago. Elena told me that if they hadn’t been able to correct the femur bone in eight places …..they would’ve had to amputate my leg.. I think I turned pale once she told me that. I didn’t know that till a few days ago.. goodness one sense of gratitude . I think you couldn’t understand how I feel.. I may not be able walk well ..that’s true.))) But guess what ? I have two legs.. and that my friend is a real blessing. And iI might as well say that you are a blessing in my life too. Thank you. Pangie

The wonderful to see you today as every other day. I think I’ve learned something from writing this poem. When I write, totally genuinely, which is most of the time, if not all of the time. There was something very soft about it. I know what it is, but I enjoyed it like you did and that’s important to me that we both enjoyedIt. Perhaps it is tell that old maxim “truth is beauty and beauty is truth!, I hope Santa Claus is very good to you. Thank you, Pangie

Hello, Beryk..isn’t it a joy to rrecall the sights, feeling, the softness of our days? I remember Momcombing my hair. Or taking me to the dressmaker for a fitting of my ballet costume. Christmas was magic and wonder, absolutely. A holiday joy to hear from you! Yuletide greetings, Pangie

Holy Smokes, Regina, thank you for FAVing this. It is a poem straight from my heart. Nothing deep, clever, witty or esoteric about it. It’s pretty much how I am in life. Just a reporter on how reality is for me. I really loved writing this one. Feliz Navidad… Pangie
