A Little Bridge

I’m deafened by the lack of music –
There’s nothing on the air
The way things are but I didn’t choose it
The cupboards in the cellar are bare

When you gonna get yourself together?
When you gonna learn to trust the flow?
The wind has got me goin’ round in a circle
Confusion is the Everyman’s woe

Sound and fury – power and glory
And a little bridge between giant waves
This is how we end the story –
Lookin’ for a human race to save

I came upon a bend in the river
I hid my fortune in a mask
The tribe of your glory will someday wither
And you won’t even have to ask

Sound and fury – power and glory –
A little bridge between giant waves
This is how we end the story –
Lookin’ for a human race to save

I’m deafened by the lack of music –
There’s nothing on the air
The way it is but I didn’t choose it
The cupboards in the cellar are bare

I came upon a bend in the river
I hid my fortune in a mask
The tribes of your glory will someday wither
And you won’t have to ask
No you won’t even have to ask

Sound and fury – power and glory –
A little bridge between giant waves
This is how we end the story –
Lookin’ for a human race to save
