A Little Boys Fears

I was told never to climb I never was one to follow rules I climb a fence and fell I broke my arm and didn’t tell A week went by I could no longer stand it I told my father I was chased by birds I told him that I had fell The fear of him was so strong That the pain in my arm was nothing To the fear of disobeying him Many years later he died from a trailer fire I did not shed one tear

Wonderful story , but so sad. I too had a dad we were afraid of. Like a lot of us times were different then.

Hi Bobby, My son likes to climb. He knows I don't like it because I don't want him to get hurt. It's sad to hear what happened to you and to hear about the relationship that you had with your dad. Thanks sharing such a write- Alexis
