A Little Birdie Chirps In Potus' Ear

Do you want to hear Hurrays
Tired of boos; want some Yeas
Drop impulsive texts and tweets
Give the nation a welcome treat

Every time that you get mad
Take my advice, comrade --

Think what Abe Lincoln would say
Think what Abe Lincoln would do
He re-united a divided nation
Give it a try; maybe you can too

Ah but that would require he care about other people, which clearly he does not - everything is about HIM!

Maybe that Little Birdie can touch somethin in the POTUS. After all, the bird is non-threatening. You never know. Peace and Joy, Gershon

I love it. It was fantastic when we had politicians who understood the UNITED states was important to promote and inspire.

A great write, Gershon. I love the optimism of the last line, but he doesn't have it in him, not even a little. He is nothing but an instigator who wants to be a dictator, and I imagine he is a lot more like Hitler than anyone realizes, sadly...oh boy, I promised myself I would stay away from politics on PS and here I go. I'll be better tomorrow! Blessings, Rhonda

Perhaps the 'little birdie' will succeed where others have failed! I never give up hope... After all, Nixon met with Mao, and Reagan signed SALT II with the Russians... Else the birdie can try again with the next POTUS. Cheers, Rhonda! :) gw

Excellent Gershon! Abe Lincoln was a diplomat among many other attributes. Hard shoes to fill. I just posted a blog video at Poetry Soup I think you may enjoy. Check it out when you have time. xxoo

Thanks, Connie! And I will be viewing that video tomorrow --- oops, later today. It's past the witching hour, so I better hit the hay before I turn into a werewolf. lol. Best always, Gershon
