A little ball of fur

A little ball of fur in the palm of your hand Crawling all over the place Dancing in the air like a butterfly trying to catch string Curiosity; Mischief; Intensity abound Innocent eyes peer up at you Milk is all over the place Now full grown a companion comes along Kittens start running around like a busy city street Mom nurtures and protects them until they are ready to go Now she is getting old and sleeping more Her body is wearing out Age takes it's toll One day, with the kittens by her side, she quietly slips away The kittens are little balls of fur in the palm of your hand Mom would be so proud
