A Link In the Chain

How does one choose a friend or an associate?
Is it the way they look?
Is it the compliments they give you?
Or is it the influence you think they have?

Some may say all above
Others may say none above
While some may say time determines a friend
And an associate may be all the above and then some

Will we ever understand why we connect with some and find no connection with others?
Some people feel like family, a sister, a mother, a father, a brother, and sometimes a lover
It’s not kissing "A" or gripping as some may think
In that persons chain you may be just another link
