A Lil Girl Thankful For Her Father

A little girl needs Daddy For many, many things, Like holding her high off the ground where only the blue birds nest to sing! Like being the deep music, That tells her all will be alright, Whenever she awakes hysterically from the terrors of the night! Like being that loud car alarm, That rings out boisterous within your ears, To protect you from those little boys that tries to whisper to you; thinking that Dad is not there! Like being the great mountain, That rises in her heart And shows her the way back home if all else falls apart! Like being a New York taxi cab driver, That at times are hard to understand and sometimes difficult to catch, But Dad’s job as the driver in his daughter(s) life is to keep her on the ride tracks! Like giving her the love That is equivalent to Earth’s sea and air, So diving deep or soaring high she’ll never lose sight of him because he’ll always be right there! Always remember that a Dad is truly a person Who is loving and kind, And often he knows whats is on his child(s) minds! He's someone who listens, Suggests, and defends, And dad can also be one of your very best friends! He's proud of your triumphs, but when things go wrong, A dad can showcase his patience while being caring, helpful, & strong! In all that you do, A dad's love plays a huge part. There's always a place for him deep within your heart And each year that passes, You're even more and more glad, More grateful and proud just to call this wonderful man your dad! So I dedicate this to my daughters and I thank the Lord for blessing them into my world, I started out asking to have a boy but the Lord saw fit on gracing me with two beautiful girls, So I can be the best father to my lil girls as the rest of the world knows me only as Curtis, But being the #1 FATHER to my angels will always be the 1st priority on top of my Daddy’s list! Thank you, Daddy... & Happy Father's Day

Great analogy of the cab driver and the father being the driving force in a daughter's life, keeping her on the right tracks! This was so moving, Curtis. I lost my father this year, but he was every bit the amazing father you are to your little girls and his presence will always be with me. God bless you and Happy Friendship Week! Love, Carolyn
