A Light Will Kill the Pain

A Light will Kill the Pain

How my soul is yearning,
For someone to come
Rescue me, from turmoil
From a prison of hell.

I pray and call out,
To Your name.
Please, Lord,
Take this cup away.

When darkness fell upon me,
I tremble with fear.
Will it be my last night?
With the terror and pain.

I learn to block it out.
Feel no more pain.
My body bruised and beaten,
I lock myself up in my brain.

Hold on, I whisper to myself
Hold on, the darkness will pass.
A new day is coming,
A light will Kill the pain.
