A Life of Lies
Pools of deceit flood around me,
Drowning me in lies of misfortune.
How deceived I was by them all.
How agonizing the pain of it feels,
The searing of my heart in two.
Collapsing my soul into a river of grief and sorrow.
Apologies flow like waterfalls,
Unthoughtful and cold they pierce my heart.
Leaving me withdrawn into the web of lies.
What is there to do,
When your only friends have pained your soul?
Torn pieces mix with lies,
Your life becomes a puzzle of deceit in disguise.
