A Life More Extreme

Lured by the money, she chases a dream, leaving her home for a life more extreme. Mistresses of upper society; high-priced call girls, project propriety. Enticed by the glamorous life, she yearns: lust fuels the flames as innocence burns. Sullying her soul, for dollars and fame; pimping herself is all part of the game. Her heart has witnessed so much pain unfold, love's no longer unique: it's something sold. Her words of sincerity sound hollow: like the phony smiles, men pay to follow. Tomorrows cannot be fully explored, feelings are meaningless: when love is whored. Bamboozling her family and her friends, ignoring reality: she pretends. Yet, anguish slowly envelopes her soul, as her lifestyle levies a heavy toll. And truth only exacerbates her plight: piercing awareness, like slivers of light.

I think that is why so many get hooked on drugs. They just want that numb feeling because they are trapped. You express their torture well Emile. There is so much abuse in this world...of both sexes sadly. 7 ; )

Thanks Connie, you are right...their is both danger and excitement in the sex trade, and it attracts many of our youth, Emile.

This is so true and how life is for this poor young woman, sadly a lot of these women fall into prostitution and what for, all to earn a dollar and sadly these women are targets for drugs and murder, you have addressed this problem very well Emile, love it.....Take care........Vera

Dark and sad Emile but wonderfully expressed. You have painted the scene vividly with your poetic phrasing. Nicely done.
