A Life I Forgot

Please tell me
For I have forgot
Every time you kissed me
Every flower you bought

Did we hold hands
Sleep in the same bed
Plan a future together
Love until we're dead

Please forgive me
For I remember not
Alzheimer's took my love for you
But bad memories I've still got

Slowly, the bad memories
Are fading farther away
I can only love who loves me
That will guide my way

My life is full of desires
Some will be fulfilled
I will find true peace
When the Alzheimer's has killed
