A Life Changing Choice

I was like a Salmon, always swimming upstream,
or facing some mountain that I couldn’t top.
No viable life plan, that would achieve my dream,
until unexpected news caused my drifting to stop.
Things began happening that I didn’t foresee,
I saw my problem as either a barricade or span.
By accepting the hand that reached out to me,
I became a participant in God’s master plan.
Before that moment I thought I had no voice,
I was drifting through life, indulging in sin.
My fork in the road became a life changing choice,
I clutched Jesus’ hand and was born again.
