A Life

A lady of elders years
Throws a penny into a pond
And cries: "I'm old and soon I'll die
And there's nothing of me to pass on!"

Then a young friend, touches her and says:
"Without you I wouldn't be
You gave me life and I promise you
Your life shall live on in me!"
