A Letter To Timothy
Dearest Timothy,
It took twenty years
to face your folks
between grateful tears
So sad to say
your your son died
saving mine.
Hard?
indeed.
I finally have, however.
Hard for both
your father and me
Though my load
is somewhat lighter now.
I love and miss you all
"Charlie squad"
Doc,
I will always live
with a sense of guilt
for what you gave
that day in 68.
You'll live
forever in my heart-
Never in a damp dark grave.
I love you brother
even in death.
Yours, Allen
"There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
