A Letter To My Friend

If one day you look for me
and I am not where I should be
Know that I have left for Heaven
That's where I'll be.

If you should come to Heaven
and not find me
Look beside the living fountain
That's where I'll be.

If you should look beside the fountain
and not find me
Search beside God's glittering throne
 That's where I'll be.

If I'm not beside His throne
nor sitting on His lap
Follow the path to Jesus' feet
That's where I'll be

When you find me dear friend
Come sit beside me among the ones
wearing golden crowns
 For that's where I'll be.
