A Letter To God My Thoughts On Marriage

Pardon me O god
For there are days
I feel as though
I have betrayed you.

Entrapped by a marriage
Not ordained by you
Caught like animal
Locked in a zoo.

What madness have I
Be stored upon myself
I sound like a hissing
Canary in a cage.

Hear my plead O god
Have mercy upon me
Set me free upon thee earth.

May my actions be thoughtful
May my experience be worthwhile
May my poems tell a story
And may everyday from today
Be bright.

A fine tribute to God's immense capacity for forgiveness, Patricia. And be assured, your poems tell very compelling stories!
