A Letter of Honesty

Do I love you yet? I couldn’t say,
But I do know
I could,
If only you would let me.
You might tell me I fall in love too easily
But with a girl like you
It’s not hard.
In you I seem to see a reflection of myself,
Perhaps the part I’m missing,
Or is that just the old romantic in me?
All I do know is, the thought of you
Brings a smile to my face,
And to see just a picture of you
Is like looking at a face I’ve always known,
From my earliest memory,
Long before we first met.
So if you ask me do I love you yet?
I will answer; “I can’t say,
But I could …
If you will let me”.
