A Lesson Learned

T here are questions about life that,
H as to be taught to our young,
E veryone must learn facts.

B ut in learning the facts, we must have truth.
I n all the things complete truth,
R ests in the young minds and they,
D eserve the right to choose.
S o they can make their own decisions.

A nd in making there own decisions,
N o one will persuade them to,
D o what they don't want to do.

T here are so many unreliable people,
H ere to disrupt a young mind.
E veryone must judge for themselves.

B eware of what is to good to be true,
E veryone must learn how to evaluate.
E ach one has a decision to make,
S o they must learn and judge carefully.

I like how you did this on the real expression birds and bees, and how a young person must learn to be wise and careful. Congratulations. LUv, Andrea

Very smart advice about people judging for themselves. And certainly, no one can tell a young person what to do. They have to learn through their mistakes, Phyllis. Great entry for the contest and I wish you success! Love, Carolyn
