A Leap of Faith

I know 
deep are the shadows
of darkness,
But let the night fall
and I will light
the candles of hope;

I know 
lofty are the 
ideals of aspirations,
But let me
dream a dream
and I will soar
on the wings of the will;

I know
It’s not easy
to let go of life,
But let death come
and one more star
will shine in the sky,
Somewhere a new flower
will bloom that spring.
