A Lazy Day
The sun beats down on this hot Sunday,
So under cover, I think we will stay.
Our dogs on the tiles are dozing,
We too, are relaxing, eyes closing.
Too hot for flies, to dry for mozzies,
A dip in the pool for us in our cozies.
A cool breeze blows, if in the right place,
At the pool side it catches your face.
A glass of iced tea on the table in shade,
Or a few nibbles and iced lemonade.
A very genteel way to spend the day,
Someone else cooks dinner for us today.
So we relax, and maybe yawn once or twice,
A great way to while away the day. Very nice.
