A Late Sixties Prom

prom time
stars bright

pumped teens’
big night

tux and
formal

far from
normal

moms snap
photos

dads smile
pride shows

limo’s
spacious

driver’s
gracious

buffet’s
tasty

eating’s
hasty

claim that
dance floor

do these—
and more:

hully-
gully

loco-
motion

twist and
pony

“Mony
Mony”!

punch, sweet
potion

good times
must end

homeward,
all wend

dances—hully-gully, loco-motion, twist, pony
“Mony Mony” hit song by Tommy James and the Shondells (’68)

Great string of footles Janice, the 60s was certainly the best era to grow up in. Hope your week is going well. Tom
