A Lady Fell In Love

A lady fell in love with the wrong man A lady chose the wrong dance This beautiful lady took a hold of the wrong hand A lady fell in love with The wrong man I'm writing this poem to apologize to every female I've hurt in the past Was always scared to commit, so I'd let go of you fast Most of you spent time wondering why you couldn't make us last My childhood left my heart broken so much, that it shattered like glass I hurt myself more in the long run because I wasn't honest with my own heart I wanted to pull you close, But I'd lie and say we've grown apart At the time I was scared to be honest and show scars Truthfully I was a lost boy, who put on an act that I was so hard I'd be in bed with another girl before I was over the last I wanted to start a future with you, but I wasn't over my past My mother choosing alcohol over me , made me hold a grudge against girls So I'd sleep around and not care about your feelings, I'm sorry for any female who was in this world I was young and dumb pretending I was heartless even though I was hurting I've changed a lot over the years but sadly you didn't get to see my best version I can't go back, I can't undo all of this, all I can do is apologize Now I'm a better man, I'm starting to let love into my life Can I be forgiven for my dumber ways? I'm 25 now and I'm ashamed of my younger days Playing girls and sleeping around thinking I was gods gift I'm a better man now and I've stopped this Now I just focus on a girl I like I'm faithful all the way hoping to find my future wife But I've broke a few hearts from these times and that's not right So to every girl I ever hurt I'd like to sincerely apologize A lady fell in love with the wrong man A lady chose the wrong dance This beautiful lady took a hold of the wrong hand A lady fell in love with The wrong man
