A Knowing In a Poets Way...

The smell of green long grass
A secret meadow far from home
Wild flowers blanketing the solitude
A place for two you and me
A overwhelming silence
A knowing its the poets way

Laying side by side in the greenest cover
We look up to the cotton clouds
Pictures of words that we found
All of inflamed in this pulchritude land
Only natures honest ground
A knowing in a poets way

The sound of a stream
The coolest clearest water
Gentle glides over cobble stones
A sip of natures best
We hold hands as we tip toe on to stepping stones
Only noise is our childish smiles
A knowing in a poets way

As the sun meets the meadows lands
Its colours of the redest red are not forgot
As that moment a single kiss was given
A joining of pure beauty yearns
On that day at the meadow they now learn
A knowing in a poets way

Sarah, your writes are increasing in stature. For being on the Soup for such a short time, you are going to become a firm favourite. A joy to read this Saturday evening >> James
