A Kiss To Build a Dream On

Long long ago, when my parents first met, They Fell in love like everyone.... And Started that long treck. Perhaps like you, they fell in love! And they found out there was more Than just kissing and dancing and making love. In those days, marriage was in order! And in order to eat, they had to work! Yes, it was in their character.... Those were days, when work was not considered wrong, How proud they were to start each day With gratitude to God and a song! They worked during the great depression, And not one word of complaint did I hear. My mother stood in the snow with hundreds of others. Waiting for just one job opening! I guess they just don’t make them like my mother and father anymore! My father, would faint,If he were here, Seeing the rush and greed, for FREE everything! It is not some thing any of us should cheer! One day, after many years, you will get To Happily, retire! congratulations, you did what God asked You to do. Making this world a better place, for people Just like you. Both opened a very fine store, worked long, way over 10 hours a day. Their dispositions never soured. My grandpa, live with us too. I know, all are in heaven, as They shared their wealth with any Needy brethren. 4/24/2022

How times have changed, back then folks worked hard for an honest day's pay. Nowadays folks don't get out of bed before noon and rely on free handouts. Tom

Hi, Tom. I shall never understand this desire and lying to get all free. Sorry to hear it is in the U.K. Betting this is worldwide! Handouts here include free cell phones, apartments, and medical care for years. Oh, and food. But they all can afford a PC to stay home. American workers are taxed terribly to support the non workers. I call that theft. We also contribute willingly to support injured armed services. And are taxed heavily to support the Ukrainians. But the equipment never gets the them! Worse, all the illegals coming here. There is no war in S. America! We will have to fund them also. All countries have borders. Not ours. Times have horribly changed here. It’s OK to Steal in CA, also. Now, some states want to kill Babies up to full grown one month olds? CA wants to be the Abortion State. Very sad that life means so little. Yours, Pangie,

Eve, my grandparents had six children. That Grandpa, had his own business. And besides that was highly creative. A wonderfully positive man who loved his kids. Nobody complained. Life was loved. So were kids. My parents only had me. They were ambitious and built their American dream. They did not have to work so long! They funded private education for me for 16 years. I was a debutante at 16, a dream come true. Ambition differs from ‘ I have to do it.’ They were so Generous to many outside the family. Mom felt it her job to help any family in trouble. They opened a second store! They gave more than they ever received. I was lucky to have such charitable parents. No vacations for them ever. Work came first. I grew up surrounded by a huge family that loved life, music and togetherness and God. Thank you dearest, friend Eve. Yours, Pangie
