A Kiss

A KISS (3 Tanka)

it was just a kiss
two kids on a carousel
pipe organ playing
ups downs around and around
a kiss I cannot forget

we kissed at midnight
christmas eve and mistletoe
good friends surrounding
i had dreamt of such a kiss
all through high school and beyond

we kissed then she laughed
i knew it was innocent
married both of us
but what a surprise i had
she had dreamt the same as I

The power of a kiss. I know that feeling of wanting a kiss like that. I have no more words, touching. Love this Monica

DAve this one is very intriguing to me. It makes me want to know all about this special person. Did you kiss her also as kids on the carousel?? And then later as adults at a Xmas party? Or is this all a complete fabrication? Do tell..... Love it! Andrea

An "innocent" kiss is often a friendly gesture, Daver. To have dreamed of such a kiss for so long only to find it after you are both married, is quite touching. I'm glad your dream came true with this gesture of friendship, Daver. Love, Carolyn
