A Kingdom Torn Apart

When formed the Earth and fostered life I blossomed into being and watched With wonder a youthful world Blooming with life in green and blue I made my way through snowy caps Passed by pastures green galore Then reached my glorious kingdom But something was amiss – My ears popped, such was the noise Ere I saw subjects lifeless Piles of toxin seeped in I choked and gasped for breath The dagger of loss pierced my heart Silent in grief, lying in the reef I stumbled and gazed yonder To where my glorious kingdom once lay Clouded the ruins heavy mist grey
