A King and His Queen

Back-road delta blues...
Face twisted in pain and joy
With that extra appendage
Attached to his heart...
His royal electric queen
And long-time lover Lucille...

Edited version of and earlier post from 2009. I have shared this as a tribute to the late, great and sadly missed 'King of the Blues' BB King who left us on May 14th at the age of 89...RIP Mr. King

Wow, Tim! This is quite a terrific tribute to BB. Like the reference to "that extra appendage" as his guitar Lucille. That's what it's like for a musician! I'll call tonight to see how you're doing and catch up. Much love, Carolyn

Interesting write in this one. Guitar his extra appendage and even had a name. That took some research on your part. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
