A Jewel

A Jewel

A jewel among
Ten thousand tears
One raindrop clear
One drop among a host
Which sends
A spearing shaft
Of purest crystal light
The low shine
Of a winter’s sun
Suspended in a liquid lens
On the leafless thorn.
