A Homeless Man's Finality

His eyes looked worn and full of a lonely lifeless existence. Lost in his world, wandering through. The heartfelt pains are the heavy burdens he carries with him. His body and feet aching from the miles of foraging through the cold dark mean, city streets. The Holidays are hardest for him as he remembers vaguely his first Christmas with his parents. For a moment that thought brings a warm loving feeling, engulfing his heart releasing a tear. He then sees a family through a picture window as he slowly walks by, listening to their joyful expressions of festivity. Remembering his and escaping to avoid the pain of his thoughts of his family. His clothes are worn like his teeth. Needing medical attention, he deals with the physical pains along with the mental ones, on his own. He finally sits down, puts his hands over his head and breaks down crying uncontrollably. Releasing his life's experiences all at once! Relieving all of his hearts pains, through tears. Finally giving up!! Michael Tor 10/6/2015

oh my this one is so heartbreaking. The poor suffering man, and very sadly, it is happening to someone at this very moment and another, over and over again on this planet! By the way, I read what you said about contests over at somebody's comments and I replied to your comment over at their page! I too was feeling quite disgusted today over a few things similar to what you said happened to YOU!"

Thank you Andrea for understanding wish I could share more but It is not my intention to cause any hurt to anyone, but it is very frustrating and sometimes disappointing to deal with the pain it causes. I will find where you have commented. Thank you for your kind supportxxx

Focusing on the plight of an individual and his personal angst touches people at some deep level whereas before it's just a "sad situation". You were so good here, Mark. Exceptional write. 7.

Thank you Richard. These poor people are not only men but women and children. It really bothers me to know that much more can be done for them and it isn't. I admire John Bon Jovi for starting his soup kitchens through out New Jersey. It makes me happy to know good people are helping. Have a good one Richard loved your write on your mom, sis, and wife.

This is truly penetrating in is delivery and its exposed truths. The world is a hurting place and we sometime feel we are being tested and prepared for pain as its presence seems to dominate our existence as we prod along in a state of continued disappointment and failure, without much hope for change or enlightenment. Emile.

Sadly I agree Emile. Your words express here speak of a worldwide reality. Not just men being homeless and hungry but women and children. When you think of that it is agonizing. Have we become animals, I shouldn't compare us to animals. Even animals take care of their own. I respect John Bon Jovi he started soup kitchens in New Jersey. I hope others follow suite. We spend so much money on war, and going into space, and secret opts trillions and trillions of dollars.. I feel in my heart Emile that we are headed for disastrous times. This is happening in America not a third World Nation where it would be more likely to happen. anywhere it happens is terrible.

Row truth that, unfortunately, have witnessed and witness every day because of the hardships the Greeks go through the last five years and the chords of migrants that have occupied parks, streets and squares of the city! A poem to which your concern and tender heart has given life and put it in the apex of our sensitivity! A big seven dear Michael for your humanity and concern!

It is a horrible realization. I am glad good people like yourself Demetrios sees and feels and knows these truths. I would on Sunday after service go out into the city and buy sandwiches for these people. It wasn't much but It gave me a feeling of helping the least of us. When I stopped and thought if each one of us did this they would at least not be hungry. Every little bit counts. Life can sometimes be challenging like Silent One says no one chooses to live like this. Thank you Demetrios for your kind words..

It is sad. Whats more sad is that so many are experiencing so much pain and our government is not doing enough Linda to help. It is getting worse.

I almost stopped halfway, didn't know if I could see it through which means your poem worked. I felt his sadness, a global problem, as you creativity described. You dug deep into your sensitive side for this one, Michael ... CayCay
